Tourists at the Church of Our Lady (Liebfrauenkirche) by Bill Nelson, Restoration Artist

Photographer’s Notes:

The Liebfrauenkirche (Church of our Lady) is a 13th century parish church in Trier, Germany. The gathered tourists are waiting for the clock to strike the hour. It features mechanical figures of Emperor Charles IV and his seven electors.

This image is from a set of more than 200 nitrocellulose negatives discovered in Minneapolis. The images were shot in Europe during 1904, photographer unknown.
