Your Destination for Fine Art Photo Prints
The Origins of Viewville

Viewville is the brainchild of Michael Jensen, Rita Nagan, Jeremy Wilker and Margaret McInerny. Four people from Minneapolis who happen to share a love of photography, and cheese with Kashi crackers.

The idea was born in the summer of 2007 after Michael launched a website, designed and built by Jeremy, for his commercial photography studio.

“Hey, beautiful pictures, Mike! Why don’t you sell prints on your site,” someone said.

Great idea! But even better was Michael’s idea to gather images from all the photographers that he knew and build a new site. A site that would represent the best personal work of commercial photographers and make it affordable to everyone.

Selling fine art prints at a price that everyone can afford and giving the artist a fair share of the revenue is one of Viewville’s underlying principles.

Viewville started with a small collection of mid-West photographers and continues to expand to photographers from across the United States. And hopefully, soon, from across the entire world!

Take a look around and let us know what you think. We’d love to hear from you.
