Penny Gentieu

Penny Gentieu is a fine art and commercial photographer living in New York City. Her photographs have been exhibited worldwide, and she has to her credit over 150 magazine covers, including Time, Life, Newsweek, and New York Magazine.

Gentieu’s fine art has appeared in books such as American Infrared Survey and Our Grandmothers. Her series called Confabulations was featured in American Photographer Magazine. Her birth art photos were included in the touring show, Birth Art. Recently, Penny was in the exhibition, Akio Takamori: The Laughing Monks at the Henry Art Gallery in Seattle, where her photograph is included in the museum’s collection, and the exhibition, Is it possible to make a photograph of New Jersey regardless of where you are in the world? curated by Laurel Ptak.
