Photographer’s Notes:

A fisherman poses in Clovelly, Devon, a small village on the southwest coast of England. To this day, a single cobble-stoned street still plunges in wide steps to the sea — revealing a charming village, complete with colorful sea-view cottages showcasing perfect English gardens.

This image is from a set of more than 200 nitrocellulose negatives discovered in Minneapolis. The images were shot in Europe during 1904, photographer unknown.
