Photographer’s Notes:

This image was shot using a plastic toy camera, and printed using the cyanotype process, a very old alternative to traditional silver-based prints. I printed this during an art retreat located in a remote area of northern Minnesota. The process was perfect for the primitive nature of the location, since the cyanotype mixture needs UV light to become sensitized, and is processed in only a change or two of water.
