Photographer’s Notes:

In December of 2003, I traveled with a Senegalese band and an American musician friend, documenting their tour on video. I also shot personal still images using my twin lens Rolleiflex. All the beds in the hotel had huge mosquito netting draped over top — in the morning you would tie them into big knots to lift them up and out of the way.
