Lois Mason

In 1988, Lois began a serious study of photography after working overseas in a developing country. “My desire was to learn how to capture the essence of a place, even the sounds and smells, on film.” Since then she has focused primarily on fine art landscape, using various camera formats and techniques to express the magic of this earth. Lois was awarded first place in the environmental category for Women in Photography International and exhibits regionally in the Pacific Northwest.

Lois’ love of natural world began at an early age through countless outings in the Cascade Mountains and San Juan Islands. Backpacking, kayaking, and climbing experiences contribute to her intimacy with landscape and understanding of wilderness.
