Photographer’s Notes:

This picture is on one hand scenic, and on the other, documentary — which are two traits I love to combine in photography. Spring at the cabin, the promise of long summer days at the lake “up North” and the human elements like the dock, waiting on the bank, and the line it makes diagonally in the scene, dividing it. I liked the lines, circles, and the depth of space, the delicacy of the reeds in the water contrasting with the graphic boldness of the tree.
