Photographer’s Notes:

This was taken in Jay Cooke State Park in northern Minnesota. This is somewhat more scenic than what usually interests me, but I couldn’t resist the power of the high water raging against the hard rock of the surrounding riverbed. I like all of the elements in this scene: wood, water, stone and steel. These are the elements that drive life and industry in this part of the country.
