Tim Chumley

Tim Chumley’s lifelong love of photography began at age six when he received his first camera, the all-plastic Polaroid Big Swinger 3000.

After a career in and around the advertising and design industry, including a decade of teaching documentary filmmaking and editing at an advertising grad school, Tim returned to photography full time. “I get paid to photograph people, mostly, and I do love portraiture. But I am also intrigued when I find a way to present something plain (like flowers and fruit) in a new, unique way. In other words, finding something uncommon in the common, something beautiful in the ordinary.”
