Photographer’s Notes:

We live in an urban area and there is a large deer population in our neighborhood. They roam through our yard on a regular basis and one winter had stripped the branches of our struggling larch tree. A neighborhood friend was playing at our house after he had a particularly bad day — it seemed fitting to photograph them together. Shot with my 1912 Graflex view camera.
