Photographer’s Notes:

One of my favorite places to gather objects from is The Bell Museum of Natural History. By photographing the beetle on a dark surface, I focused on the color and texture of this small creature. Most people are so cut off from the natural world, this seems like a small gift I can give to anyone who is curious enough to look.
