Matted Prints
Our matted prints are available in standard sizes — 8" x 10", 11" x 14" and so on. These measurements refer to the size of the paper the image is printed on, and also, the outside dimensions of the mat. The image format will determine the size of the border of the mat around the image. These measurements will also determine your frame size.
If you order 8” x 10” paper size, the matted print will fit into an 8" x 10" frame, an 11" x 14" print into 11" x 14" frame and so on. The mat is soft-white in color and acid-free. Your matted print is ready to drop into a standard-sized frame.
Unmatted Prints
On unmatted orders, the image area fills the paper size and allows for a slight border, to accommodate framing. This is your best option if you want the maximum size of an image. Any frame shop will be able to customize your framing and mat, to fit your own decor.
Panoramic Prints
Some of our images are panoramic in format or have a cropping that does not fit our standard mat windows and will only be available unmatted. The image will be printed as large as possible on the paper size you select and will allow for a slight border, to accommodate framing.
All our prints are shipped with a backer board and sleeved in cellophane so you can view your print without risk of damage from fingerprints or creasing.
We also offer custom oversize prints. These are shipped in a tube with a slip-sheet and need to be brought directly to your framer, special handling is recommended. You can order any of our prints in a larger size — just contact us and we’ll work with you to create a unique image to fit your space.
Our gallery-quality giclée prints are made-to-order and are created using a large-format digital printer. Our process begins with a high-resolution digital capture, and then we produce brilliant color prints using 8-color archival inks on premium photo paper. Our prints are true to the aspect ratio of each image.
Giclée prints set the standard for digital reproduction and can be found at MoMA, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and leading galleries around the country.
